| The Brill-Noether rank of a tropical curve is an invariant analogous to the dimension of the Brill-Noether locus of an algebraic curve. In this talk I will recall the construction of the moduli space of tropical curves and discuss their divisor theory. I will then show that the function taking a tropical curve to its Brill-Noether rank is upper semicontinuous on this space. |
