REMARKS ON ACCOMMODATION

All participants are expected to make their own accommodations in Siena.

1) As you probably know, Siena is a small town and has a great many tourists here in June. So we suggest that you make your reservation as soon as possible.

2) Hotels in Siena are usually small, except for few exceptions. It is hard to get a reservation for a single room, both because there are only a limited number of them and the hotels prefer to book you in a double room.

Notice that the price a double-room-single-occupancy should be arranged directly with the hotel. It is not expected to be much less than the cost of an ordinary double room.

3) You can check for the location of some hotels and the Math Department in the map of the town. Remember that Siena lies on the top of some hills: so some way could be steep.
